Be an Intern!
Each day, while working at Lone Star, is an opportunity for our Summer Interns to discover new activities, learn about important processes within their areas of interest, and build their professional network.
During the program, our college students have the chance to interact with different departments so that they can experience a variety of roles within the Association. Lone Star will assign a student their role based on skills and areas of interest.
The Summer Intern will learn more about their assigned department, its importance to the Association, and how the work the Intern does brings value to others and the Association. Navigating through their assigned department as well as interact with other departments is a great opportunity to make contacts, share experiences and discover new ways to work as a team.
Interns also have the opportunity to take part in training and field trips hosted by the program ambassador. At the conclusion of the Summer, our Interns will share their experiences during the internship by filling out a survey and/or giving a recap to their co-workers. Feedback is important so that we can continue to improve the program going forward.
In early January, Lone Star will post open intern positions here for the upcoming summer. Applications are due by February 28. Lone Star will interview intern candidates, select and notify selected interns the first week in April. The two (2) months internship program normally begin in June and end July 31. We hope you will consider Lone Star for your summer internship. If you would like to learn more about the program, please email DLLoneStarHR@Farmcreditbank.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
